Our office boasts a comfortable atmosphere to help you and your child feel relaxed during your visit for Orthodontics or Pediatric Dentistry. Our goal is to make coming to the dentist a fun and positive experience for your child. We want you, as parents, to feel confident your child is receiving optimal and valuable care.

Meet Dr. Christian Johnson

Dr. Johnson takes a patient-centered approach to Orthodontic and Pediatric Dental Care. She understands that child and adolescent patients may have had varying experiences with dental care. Her goal is to make your child feel comfortable and confident. Dr. Johnson utilizes various techniques to understand your child’s unique needs and to address your questions/concerns as a parent. She aims to create an environment where families feel welcomed.

Dr. Christian Johnson has been committed to continual learning and excellence to make sure she is able to provide top-notch care.

Dr. Johnson is board-certified in both Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Christian Johnson was raised in Cobb County and then went on to attend the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. While at UNC, Dr. Johnson competed as a heptathlete and triple jumper on the Varsity Track and Field Team. During college, Dr. Johnson discovered her passion for Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics, seeing an opportunity to help children become confident dental patients and employing creativity and problem-solving skills to achieve beautiful smiles. Excited to return to Georgia after her studies, she now actively engages with her community through dental volunteer work, dental mission trips, involvement in the Junior League of Atlanta, serving on the Cobb County School Board’s Facilities and Technology Committee, and as an active member of her church. In her leisure time, Dr. Johnson can be found outdoors, working out, traveling, spending time with family and friends, and, of course, cheering on the Tarheels.

Candace grew up in Cobb County and now calls Smyrna home. She graduated from Kennesaw State University...Go Owls! After her undergraduate studies, she attended the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences where she earned her DPT (Doctorate of Physical Therapy) degree. She is a Physical Therapist and has spent the past 15 years providing care to patients in a private practice setting. She has always had a passion for helping people feel better. She brings a wealth of healthcare knowledge and a friendly smile to JOP!

Outside of work, Candace enjoys spending time with her husband and children doing fun activities such as walking the Belt Line and Piedmont Park.

Giving Back

Giving back is important to Dr. Johnson and the JOP Smiles Team. Dr. Johnson has traveled to Guatemala twice with a group of medical and dental healthcare providers to provide dental care and treatment to children. It was a rewarding experience that Dr. Johnson looks forward to participating in again.
